Monte Verde Cloud Forest

Visit some of the last remaining cloud forest at the world famous reserve in Monteverde. This wildlife sanctuary includes 8 distinct ecological zones, protects over 400 species of birds, 100 species of mammals and over 30 species of hummingbirds. Admire the prehistoric ferns and the trees full of epiphytes and moss. Enjoy of a 1.5 mile treetop walkway trail that crosses through the cloud forest, a total of 8 different suspension bridges, altitudes ranging between 36 feet up to 180 feet. Then visit the town of Santa Elena founded by a dairy community of Quakers.
What to bring: Long pants, t-shirt, hiking shoes or similar, raincoat, bug repellent, camera, binoculars.
